Side note. I met my husband because of Target. Hello! How could I not have just a deep, deep affinity for Target? My matchmaker of a store. Just, yes. And maybe one day I'll tell you kids that story.
So. A couple weeks ago, Tracey and I were G-chatting it up (unrelated. who doesn't love gmail too!) about this here blog. Do you remember this post, about pastels and neons? Tracey and I were G-discussing, as follows:

But seriously. There really is NO such thing. Cue my new series: "Not Just A Target Shirt"! You guys, I am excited about this one. At first, I thought, make an outfit guide using "just" a Target shirt. But then I decided, why stop there, and I'll take it one step further and make the outfit guide using only Target items. And after coming up with the first four guides below, I am convinced that I never need to shop anywhere else, ever. So, below are my first four "Not Just a Target Shirt" guides, using the 4 cutest yellow (we're following a lemon theme here, guys!) shirts I could find. And trust me, getting it down to just these 4 wasn't easy.
The best part is that none of any of these items were over $50. The other best part is, they are all available either online or in the store, and most pieces are available in both places. The other best part is, it's Target so if you get something and decide it doesn't work or fit, their return policy is the bees knees. The other best part is, I would wear every single one of these outfits. In fact, I want to buy everything here. All of it. This series just may break my wallet. Don't say I didn't warn you!
(I'm not including any links to the items like I normally do, on account of I'm lazy, mostly. But rest assured, you can find them all on target.com or in your local store).
This is a perfect outfit for day or night, running errands or going on a hot date. Dress it up a bit by adding heels or wedges instead of sandals. I love the leather detailing on the cardigan. I would tuck the tank into the maxi and let the cardi just hang out over it. For a summer/fall look, roll the sleeves of the cardigan up and add some arm candy.
I am loving denim jackets right now. Perfect for summer and fall. I would wear the pants rolled up/cuffed so you'd be able to see the cute ankle strap of the wedges.
I think I am going to head to Target this afternoon and buy this entire outfit. Because, do you see it?! Except the belt and the shorts... I already have those. I mean, really.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Again, cuff the jeans so you can see the entire adorableness of the leopard bootie. And that dinosaur necklace?! I DIE. And, as always, a little (or a lot) of arm candy never hurt any outfit. At least that I'm aware.
Uhhh, try matchmaker of a sister in law. Puh-lease.
